The Six of Cups suggests we may have been looking back at the past through rose-tinted glasses. Memories feel comforting, but we may have forgotten that life is lived in the present moment. There’s also a sense that we’ve underestimated our own influence over events, assuming fate is something that simply happens to us. This card gently reminds us that we are not passengers. When we actively steer our own course, we often discover we have far more power than we realised.
Five of Wands
The Five of Wands reflects inner and outer tension. It can feel as though everything is clashing at once and that even small things are irritating beyond proportion. Much of this conflict is less serious than it appears, but it does highlight confusion around priorities. This is a good time to pause and ask ourselves what really matters. Once we’re clear on that, much of the noise will fade into the background.
The Emperor
The Emperor brings a strong message of structure, authority, and achievement. Career goals are very much within reach, but success will come through discipline, focus, and effort rather than shortcuts. In relationships, we may feel drawn to strong, dominant personalities who offer security and stability. While these connections can be reliable, they also ask us to remain aware of power dynamics and motivations. The Emperor reminds us that true strength comes from self-mastery.

This week is about reclaiming control. By letting go of the past, clarifying our priorities, and committing to disciplined action, we place ourselves firmly in the driving seat of our lives. Progress comes when we choose responsibility over resignation.
