A week of cosmic rock ’n’ roll is in store, with the first Aquarius Solar Eclipse in eight years, the Sun’s return to Pisces the next day, followed by Saturn and Neptune forging their first exact conjunction for 37 years.
So, what can we take from all of this? Well, the Solar Eclipse is the sixth “New Moon” at 28 degrees in a series of seven, showcasing the sky’s wonderful knack for synchronicity. But it is also in a turbulent right angle to the restless Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, in Taurus. What has felt stuck or stagnant may suddenly shift, and the desire for greater authenticity, freedom and truth will need to find its voice. The Eclipse activates an eighteen-month cycle of change, ushering in, as it does, a new series between the Water Bearer and the charismatic Leo.
But just as we grapple with this, the Sun returns, after an eleven-month absence, to the final sign of the zodiac, Pisces, joining Venus, the North Node and Mercury in the sign of the Fishes. The urgency and electricity of the Eclipse can be so powerful that we may find ourselves wanting to hunker down to make sense of it all. Trusting our intuition can be a big part of the process.
However, the exact conjunction of Saturn and Neptune, after their near connection last year, can be seminal. With both at 0 degrees of the entire zodiac, as the Aquarius Eclipse energy points to values and Pisces season to endings, Saturn and Neptune remind us that the new reality ahead does not always have to be harsh and unyielding. Instead, patience, sensitivity, and a desire to burn off the distortion of recent times can be very strong.
