After what has been such a turbulent April, May really does usher in some more hopeful energies.
Not least, a mesmeric link between Venus and Neptune in the first week. This could see something quite magical shape up, especially artistically or creatively.
Pluto goes Retrograde on the 4th into its annual five-month retrograde but is going to be broadly in touch in a sextile with Neptune all month, but more precisely the last ten days. This could be seminal, especially with the arrival of Saturn in Aries for his first visit since February 1999. The big shift we have all been witnessing can start to gain a more distinct personality, particularly by the month’s end.
The North Node is in Square with Jupiter all month, so our direction of travel needs to be mindful of how media of all kinds can shape the narrative.
For those with more social, playful or romantic hopes, a sizzling link between Venus (emerging from Shadow on the 5th) and Mars, which really tightens up from the 11th to the 30th and is exact on the 22nd has great potential for feeling and sharing passion more freely.
The Full Moon in Scorpio on the 12th does though suggest the potential for more sudden changes, corrections or disruptions in the financial markets. Where we feel confined or controlled, can see a desire to break out and break free. Week three will likely see things very up and down in this regard.
However, the last third of the month sees a speeding up of all sorts of communications, issues that have been debated or stuck could be resolved as the Sun moves to Gemini. A quite fantastic New Moon in Gemini aligns with the Ruler Mercury and also the planet of change, Pluto. Transformations are in the air.
With Saturn alongside Neptune for the first time in our lifetimes for the last week, a new reality will surely be shaping up.
The cosmic curtain comes down on the month with a sparkling Mercury Cazimi on the 30th, and that suggests clarity that has been missing can be more to the fore.

Whether it’s over childcare, ambitions or home changes, things may get tense. A more rebellious part of you might come to the fore in week three, but at least everyone will know where they stand. Finances may be more promising later in the month, however.
Gemini 22 May – 21 June
You may find that people get in contact in the early part of May that you’ve not seen or been in touch with for a while. This might be to do with your work. If you work in a creative role, you can be inspired at the start of the month, and connections professionally can feed into your social life. Your ability to take the lead is much to the fore this month, but particularly once the Sun arrives in your sign on the 20th, followed by your ruler Mercury on the 26th. A gorgeous Gemini New Moon on the 27th can see significant changes start to unfold for you, with a major development on the 30th.
Cancer 22 June – 23 July
You could find yourself having a rethink about your professional situation this May. If you’re lucky enough to be doing something which really inspires you at a soul level, you might push to gain greater recognition and success, and Venus and Mars can bring rewards. If you’re unsure in your current pathway, you’ll find yourself thinking very deeply about what you really want. In fact, for many Cancer people, the last ten days may see you craving for some time to reflect, perhaps withdraw a little. However, doing so could give you the headspace to make the correct calls. Look to release what no longer serves you.
Leo 24 July – 23 August
If you head off somewhere at the start of the month, it can prove to be a magical excursion, and you may find yourself immersed in a powerful way. But juggling where you want to direct your time and energies might be a thorny issue that peaks on the 12th. With your ruler aligning with the mysterious Neptune as the month begins, something very special around a relationship or connection can unfold. Whether it’s something significant will become clearer in the last week of the month, as strict Saturn arrives in your partnership zone for the first time in twenty-six years. The Full Moon in your sign on the 12th, can be a very important moment of your whole year. Aquarius 21 January – 19 February
A big shift comes this month Aquarius, and it couldn’t come soon enough, could it? Your natural gift for communication and farsighted ideas may suddenly be in vogue, and this is also going to see the pace of life get quicker too. All this will be super stimulating, but most of all it can be fun!
