You may well know that Martha Reeves (who is 73 today) came to fame with the Vandellas. You are almost certain to know the group’s hits such as Jimmy Mack and Dancing in the Street. However, unless you are from Michigan you may not know that from 2005-9 she was a Detroit councillor. Cancer, Martha is still performing, and in 2012 she sold out at six shows at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club.
