Cancer, Linda Ronstadt, retired from music in 2011 after having appeared on 120 albums and sung with a galaxy of stars including Dolly Parton, Neil Young and Johnny Cash. Her autobiography, Simple Dreams: A Musical Memoir, was released in 2013. She will be celebrating her 68th birthday today.
