Composer, guitarist and record producer Mark Knopfler is celebrating his Birthday. Leo, Mark is perhaps best known for his success with Dire Straits (the band he founded with his brother, David), although he has also worked as a solo artist. Mark has been awarded four Grammies, and he also holds three honorary doctorates from UK universities.
