• They will be joined by Mercury later on the 1st of January, but the Full Moon in Cancer on the 3rd presents an early challenge.

• How? Capricorn energy is very much about focusing on goals, ambitions, worldly aims and connections, and anything in the material sphere.

• The Cancerian energy of the Full Moon, however, reminds us to stay in touch with how we feel. If something is out of kilter in terms of our work–life balance, the following two weeks are the time to address this.

• Speaking of which, Chiron ends its long retrograde on the 2nd, but is in a square with Jupiter, the planet of positivity, which remains in retrograde.
